The first installment focuses its noir-thriller lens on Bruno, an extreme-left revolutionary who has escaped from prison and is trying to pick up where he left off. Enlisting the help of his former accomplice, Jeanne, now a teacher, wife, and mother, Bruno must avoid being captured by Pascal, a downtrodden cop looking to regain his credibility, while simultaneously helping his drug-addicted wife, Agnès, score morphine.
